1. Hold Hands & Walk Toward Me While Giggling

This is one of the easiest ways to break the ice at the beginning of a session, and one of the easiest engagement photo prompts. I’ll have you hold hands, walk toward me, and focus on each other instead of the camera. I’ll usually tell you to chat about your wedding, tell an inside joke, or just make each other laugh. The goal isn’t a perfect walk, it’s capturing those genuine smiles and happy moments that happen naturally.

2. Hug, Lean Back & Go in for a Kiss

This prompt creates such a romantic, playful moment. I’ll have you start by wrapping each other in a hug. Then you’ll pull apart to lean back, then come back in for a kiss! The movement adds so much emotion to the photo. It’s intimate without feeling overly posed, and it always photographs beautifully with any scenery. 

3. Frolic in a Big Circle Around Me

This one always makes for the best genuine smiles and laughs! You’ll hold hands, run or skip in a big circle around me, laugh, bump into each other, and just have fun. This prompt creates so much movement and genuine joy that it almost always becomes one of my couples’ favorite moments from the session. Don’t worry about looking graceful or put together, just embrace the fun. You’ll love the candid results. 

4. The Big Twirl

Whether it’s one dramatic spin or several little ones, I’ll have one partner twirl the other while I capture both the movement and the reactions afterward. Some of the best photos happen after the spin when you’re laughing, fixing your hair, looking at each other or giving a quick kiss. Movement always makes photos feel more alive, and this prompt is no exception.

5. Spin Each Other Like Ring Around the Rosie

This is one of the most playful prompts in my entire lineup. You’ll hold both hands and spin around together just like you did as kids playing Ring Around the Rosie. It feels funny for about two seconds, and then you’re both laughing so hard you completely forget the camera is there. The results will feel so real and raw, and perfectly capture the joy you and your partner share!
