• Golden hour: The warm, golden glowing light just before the sun sets
• Blue hour: The soft, warm, blue hues just after the sun sets

We’ll factor in the season, weather, and your schedule to land on a time that gives you the most beautiful light possible.

2. Finding the Perfect Location for Your Boulder Engagement Session

Boulder is full of incredible backdrops! From mountain overlooks, to open fields, and everything inbetween. Choosing a location comes down to a few key things:

• Convenience: How far do you want to travel?
• Aesthetic: Mountain views, lakes, forest, or something more city based?

I think a great way to help your photos feel more natural and genuine is to plan an activity. I’ll happily provide you with a few ideas that create natural interaction. A few favorites:

• Playing music and dancing as the sun sets

This is where everything comes together. All of the prep work is finally ready to pay off! You will not need to worry about posing or what to do with your hands. My job is to guide you the entire time with prompts and directions that feel natural.
