Hiiii! I’m Gavin, a Colorado-based wedding and elopement photographer, and I’m so glad you’re here! I’ve been lucky enough to call this stunning state home my entire life, and I can’t wait to capture your special moments in this beautiful setting. My journey in wedding photography began right after my 16th birthday, when I shot my very first wedding. That experience hooked me; there’s something so exciting about the energy and emotion that comes with wedding days, and I quickly fell in love with the fast-paced, high-stakes vibe of it all. Since then, I’ve had the honor of photographing everything from grand, 300-person weddings to intimate elopements with just the couple. My sweet spot, however, lies in the smaller, intimate weddings with around 100 guests. I love the relaxed atmosphere they offer, allowing couples to spend quality time with their loved ones and, most importantly, just have fun!
But enough about work—let me share a little about who I am outside of my camera.
I’m a proud Colorado native, an avid outdoorsman, and a proud LGBTQ+ business owner. Born and raised in Parker, CO, I made the move to Castle Rock in 2024. When I’m not behind the lens, you’ll find me outdoors—whether I’m hiking, fishing, or paddle boarding in the summer months. Fun fact: despite living here my whole life, I’ve never learned how to ski or snowboard. So when winter comes, you’ll find me pouting indoors and eagerly awaiting the warmer months! When I do stay inside, I love spending time with my sweet pup, Chucho, and my amazing boyfriend, Dom. We’re foodies at heart, so we spend way too much time exploring new restaurants (we eat out… a lot). On quieter nights, we’re all about movie marathons and the occasional round of GTA V. Life’s best when you’re sharing it with good company.
Now, let’s talk photography. My love for capturing moments started back in middle school, when I took my first yearbook class. I was instantly hooked, and I quickly upgraded to my first camera, capturing everything I could. In high school, I enrolled in photography classes and realized I had a deep love for landscape photography. However, my teacher, Ms. Laura Sierra, saw something I didn’t: she believed I had a special calling for portraits. To prove it, she made me complete a semester final by taking 100 portrait photos. At the time, I wasn’t sure, but that project opened my eyes to the magic of documenting people’s unique personalities and emotions. Tragically, Ms. Sierra passed away in 2020, but her memory and guidance continue to inspire me to this day. I often think of her, and I truly believe I wouldn’t be where I am without her encouragement.
From that pivotal project, I started photographing my friends and eventually built a business from it. Each session, each wedding, and each love story I capture fills me with the same excitement I felt on my very first shoot. And now, I can’t imagine doing anything else.
Photography has become more than just a career for me—it’s my passion, my way of connecting with people, and the perfect way to tell your unique story. Whether you’re having a large celebration or an intimate elopement, I’d be honored to help you remember your special day, every little detail, and every beautiful moment. I want to make sure that when you look back at your photos, you’ll feel the joy, the love, and the memories just as vividly as when they were made. I can’t wait to meet you, hear your story, and capture your once-in-a-lifetime moments. Thank you for considering me to be a part of your journey!
